Awareness program on Central Universities Entrance Test
An awareness program for the students of Second and Final Years students is conducted on 31.05.22. Two Research Scholars (Mr. Kiran kumar and Ms. Mousami) from university of Hyderabad have come and explained the students about the Central Universities entrance test, how to prepare for the examination and the advantage of studying in a central university. 71 students attended the program.

WORKSHOP ON NAAC REVISED ACCREDITATION FRAMEWORK
The IQAC has conducted a workshop to all the teaching faculty of the college on “NAAC revised accreditation framework” on 18th Jan, 2019 at 1:00 PM by Dr. R. Komala, IQAC Coordinator, St. Pious Degree and PG College. Dr. R. Komala has given a brief analysis on NAAC Revised guidelines and also addressed all the queries raised by the faculty.
All the faculty got a clear idea on NAAC accreditation process. The principal of the college, chairman of IQAC and DRC also addressed the gathering and made few suggestions on enrichment of the quality education of the college. Dr. V.Vijayalakshmi, Head of the Department of Chemistry, IQAC Coordinator Smt. N. Chandana, Head of the Dept. of Physics and Website Coordinator Dr. Y. Venkateshwarlu have proposed an action plan for the NAAC Accreditation process to be held in the year 2020.

1. National Symposium on Career Development and Public Policy on 07-12-2017
National Symposium on Career Development and Public Policy Sponsored by DRC-Hyderabad District, Organized by Government Degree and PG College, Khairatabad. Eminent speakers for the symposium are Prof. T. Tirupati Rao, Former Vice-Chancellor OU; Prof. I. Rambramham, University of Hyderabad; Sri Ch. Sai Prasad, Joint Secretary, Telangana State Finance Department and Sri Pradeep Chandra Behra The symposium has highlighted on the significance of career development and public policy and the participants have got an understanding of career development and public policy by the talks of the speakers
2. Participation in Quiz Competition at BJR Government Degree College, Narayanaguda
BJR Government Degree College, Narayanaguda has organized Quiz Competition under DRC on 3-11-2017. The following students from our College participated in the quiz and won II Prize.

1. Swami Vivekananda Jayanti Celebrations – 2017
DRC – GDC Khairatabad has organized Swami Vivekananda Jayanti Celebrations on 12-01-2017, to commemorate his birth anniversary. Invited Speaker Dr. Annadanam Subrahmanyam has delivered a talk on the life of Swami Vivekananda and his teachings to the youth. He motivated the students and asked them to read the literature of Swami Vivekananda.
2. Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti Celebrations – 2017
DRC – GDC Khairatabad has organized Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti Celebrations on 23-01-2017, to commemorate his birth anniversary. A Documentary film on the life of Subhash Chandra Bose is shown to the students. The students appreciated and got inspired by the life and the fearless adventures of the great freedom fighter Sri Subhash Chandra Bose.Principal and lecturers have given a talk about the great freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose.
3. Sardar Vallabhai Patel Jayanti Celebrations – 2016
DRC – GDC Khairatabad has organized Sardar Vallabhai Patel Jayanti Celebrations on 31-10-2016, to commemorate his birth anniversary. Invited Speaker Sri. Murali Manohar has delivered a talk on the national integration and the role played by Sri Sardar Vallabhai Patel in uniting the princely states in India after independence.
